Little filled in for Carolyn Rhode in the secretary slot. Cliff Parker led the invocation and the pledge of allegiance to the US flag. We had our second reading for Brooke Carpenter, with no objections; so, it is official. Welcome to the club, Brooke! Ed also mentioned that we received an online application from Cathryn Hartwell, a broker with Real Estate Experts. This announcement counted for her first reading.
Dale Greeson introduced Chris Caldy, who is s student in accounting at UNC-G and working with Apple, Bell, Johnson during tax season. Check below to see upcoming birthdays and anniversaries in March and program responsibilities going forward. Next week Carolyn Rhode has scheduled Dr. Michael Brennan.
Ed presented Mikey Morrison with a check made out to the Burlington Royals reading program from our club. We are one of the sponsors and this is part of our overall literacy emphasis.

- Thomas Phelps wished everyone a happy Fat Tuesday in preparation for Lent. His son decided to give up school for the season.
Member Providing Our Program: Dick O’Donnell
Dick O’Donnell, otherwise known as the Man in Green, moved from Honolulu to Alamance County fifteen years ago to be closer to his two daughters. They are grown now and live in Charleston and Boston. He married Bebe, which is a good reason to stay in the area. She has a son. Dick also has a son, who lives in Washington to go along with his two daughters. His son provided him with his only grandchild. Dick has been a member of our club since 2011 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He is slated to be our president in 2020-2021. He represents Vonage Business, Total Merchant Services and Spectrum Business as the Man in Green. He also facilitates Alamance Leads.
Program: Marie Snider Speaks
Marie was born in Ohio and attended private Catholic schools from kindergarten through college. At Ursuline College, she completed a double major in English and Theater and a minor in Secondary Education. At Case Western Reserve University, she earned her M.A.in theater. To supplement her theater training, she performed in the professional improvisation company, The End Result Cult. Marie taught English, speech, and theater in private schools in Ohio for ten years. Then, she became a property manager. Later, after she moved to North Carolina, she taught English and Theater at Orange High School in Hillsborough for many years. After retiring from the world of public school, Marie became the Production Manager at SA Brown Marketing Strategy where she planned and executed trade shows and other events. She is a member of Meeting Planners International. She is a part Earl Hadden’s team, The Small Business Success Project, and she is one of the contributing authors of the Amazon best selling business book, 17 Legal Ways to Double Your Income. Marie gave a featured workshop at the Excelerate Experience in October of 2018. She is a contributing author of Own Your Purpose and Realize Your Potential, an Amazon best-selling business book of 2018.

Today’s presentation highlighted the importance of body language in business. She demonstrated recommended ways to stand, walk, sit, and rise. She said we must become more aware of how we carry ourselves and the subliminal impact it has on others.
Near the end she fielded some questions. Sang Ho Lee and Francois Masuka shared how differently body language is interpreted in other cultures.
Conclusion
Ed presented our speaker with a book to donate to an individual or institution of her choice in support of literacy.
We started a new deck of cards today, since we had a winner in our drawing last week. Dan Seiler’s ticket was chosen. He drew the two of Spades in quest of the Queen of Diamonds. Only 51 cards left! Ed adjourned the meeting with the four-way test.
