Ed Woodall called the meeting to order and Lee Isley led our prayer.
Announcements
- Rotary Foundation Banquet will be held on Saturday. 12 have committed to attend.

Member Spotlight – Lee Isley
- Lee works in sales with Fairway Outdoor Advertising. He has been married to wife Lisa for 21 years. Lisa is a preschool teacher at BCA. His daughter Emma is 15 years old and is driving now so Lee warned everyone to be careful out on the roads!
- Lee was a previous basketball coach with Burlington Parks & Recreation. As a result of his coaching role, he joined the commission education group. He was able to learn about the hundreds of park acres throughout our community. He encourages us all to get out and explore with our families.
- What is the most important attribute you bring to your job? Trustworthiness
Member Spotlight Next Week: Ben Wooten
A World Without Mookies
In the absence of a speaker, Ed Woodall filled in with an entertaining article from Sports Illustrated entitled A World Without Mookies.

A few discussion items were shared by members:
- Ben Wooten asked for thoughts and prayers for the firefighters involved in the NC wildfires. 23,000 acres have already burned and four Alamance County fire departments have firefighters deployed to help. Maybe we can “pass the bucket” at a future meeting?
- Deva Reece asked if there was a way to get the Rotary directory in print version again. Penn offered to help find a way to extract the necessary data from the databases Carolyn already updates.
The meeting was adjourned and we all stood to recite the Rotary Four Way Test. Until next week…
