He serves on the Board of Directors for Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, as well as multiple other community organizations. Dale introduced our speaker, Emily Jaffe, who is the Business Relations Supervisor with the Conservators Center.
The Conservators Center is a nonprofit conservancy in NC that began in 1999 that houses 20 species of exotic animals. This includes over 20 big cats (lions, leopards, and tigers). Their mission is to reconnect people with wildlife by introducing visitors to rare, threatened, and endangered species in an up close and personal environment. Visitors to the center can meet the animals by registering for one of the Saturday or Sunday guided tours (visitors must register prior to tour).
There are many ways to get involved! The Conservators Center offers an “Adopt an Animal” program that allows participants to assist with supplying their specific adopted animal needed supplies. Other ways to become involved is by volunteering at the center, giving monetary donations, and giving in-kind donations.
